Paramount+ in August 2026: Lioness Season 3

Why it's trending

Lioness is the platform's most prominent scripted return, while live sport and unscripted franchises give subscribers several appointment-viewing dates.

Paramount+ is using August to combine a major espionage-action drama with reality competition, documentary and combat sports. The strategy keeps the service active throughout the month rather than depending on a single binge release. Lioness Season 3 anchors the month, with Special Ops True, The Challenge Season 42 and UFC events filling the weeks around it.

Lioness Season 3

The series returns with Zoe Saldaña, Michael Kelly, Morgan Freeman and Nicole Kidman among its leading names. Its blend of intelligence operations, military action and personal pressure gives it a broad audience but also requires careful treatment of real geopolitical themes.

Special Ops True

The new docuseries is positioned as factual programming about special operations. Viewers should distinguish reconstructed entertainment, participant testimony and independently verified history.

The Challenge Season 42

A long-running reality format offers recognisable contestants, competition and weekly engagement. Season numbering and episode availability can vary between territories because of legacy rights.

UFC and combat sport

Live fight events create specific start times, replay questions and subscription-value spikes. UK rights are particularly complex and may not match the American Paramount+ schedule.

What the monthly guide does not guarantee

Platform press pages are frequently written for a home market, so a title is not certain for UK viewers until it appears on the UK service or a local press channel.

How to follow the slate

Use the Paramount+ UK app, programme pages and billing information to check availability, add-ons and live coverage. Rights and launch dates can change at short notice, so listings are worth rechecking close to the day.

What happens next

The cited guide is a general Paramount+ schedule and may reflect US rights. Verify every UK release and sports event locally. UFC dates and the Lioness episode pattern are the two details most worth rechecking against the UK app before making viewing plans.
